SAMBA, Aug 20: The residents of Ward No 1 & 2 Samba protested and blocked the National Highway at Samba for 45 minutes this evening against the power failure in the area.
The protestors raising slogans against the PDD authorities said that the people of two wards are passing sleepless nights for last five days after the burning down of transformer in the area.
They said that during this period twice transformers were installed and both the occasions it did not last more than few hours forcing the people to come to streets in protest.
Later DC Samba Mubarak Singh visited the area and assured the people that the transformer will be installed soon. On his assurance the road blockade was lifted by the mob.
