RAMNAGAR, June 16: Ridiculing the tall slogans of ‘good governance’ ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ and ‘Achhe Din’ given by the BJP during elections, the Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (NPP) today described BJP-PDP rule in the State as a period of mis-governance, non- development and betrayal.
Addressing convention of  Young Panthers at Ramnagar town today, chairman of the NPP and former minister Harshdev Singh said that the people of Jammu region  were seething with anger in view of the highly treacherous role played by  BJP leaders who had surrendered on all the issues before their ally and were anxiously waiting to teach the saffron leaders a befitting lesson.
Mr Singh expressed grave concern over the fast deteriorating law and order situation in the State and attributed the same to the soft approach of the PDP-BJP Govt towards anti- national and other disruptive forces. He rebuked the Govt for its pro-secessionist agenda which was responsible for spurt in militancy.
Strongly flaying the Govt for its failure to apprehend the culprits involved in stone pelting on pilgrimages of Mata Kheer Bhawani, Harshdev said that the Govt must also unearth the conspiracy behind the desecration of `Aap Shambhu’ temple in Janipur by mischievous characters in furtherance of a well knit plot to create communal tension.
Flaying the Govt for its multiple failures, NPP leader said that the Jammu region in particular was passing through a worst ever phase of neglect, deprivation and under development. He said that only recently it was revealed that during the last 18 months Kashmir region had been provided Rs 600 crore for black-topping of roads with barely Rs 100 crore falling in Jammu region.  He alleged that out of 12 indoor stadia announced by the Govt, the Jammu region got barely three.
Expressing concern over the growing unemployment among the educated youth, Harshdev warned the Govt not to play with the sentiments of the youth. He said that unemployed youth who had been lured by the BJP during elections were  utterly disappointed and boiling with rage due to BJP’s indifference.
