SAMBA, Nov 3: People of tehsil Ghagwal through Durga Dass Sharma, a local Advocate and a social activist have urged the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Samba to construct a foot overbridge at Ghagwal Bus Stand like near Presentation Convent School in Gandhi Nagar area of Jammu district.
Sharma said that the main Bus Stands of Ghagwal on both sides of the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway remains heavily rushed with passengers, students and local people, who use to travel in buses and mini-buses.
Thousands of students, passengers and other locals have to move on this National Highway through this intersection daily and resultantly this Ghagwal Bus Stand-cum-intersection has become very heavily populous stand.
Sharma appealed to the DDC Samba to approve a foot overbridge on the National Highway-44 at Ghagwal Bus Stand facilitating all the passengers, students and other locals to cross this busiest junction from one end to other by using the foot overbridge comfortably.
