SAMBA, Dec 14: People have expressed anguish over non-functioning of electric transformer, which was installed at village Chila Danga in Panchayat Mohargarh some three years back.
As per reports, despite lapse of three years, the Power Development Department (PDD) has failed to made electric transformer installed at village Chila Danga in Panchayat Mohargarh functional.
While speaking, the locals namely Ajay Singh, Pardeep Singh and Surmeet Singh said that the transformer was installed in their area around three years back, but PDD has failed to make it functional.
“People especially school going children in our village face manifold problems due to non-availability of electricity, but no one from the administration pay heed towards this”, they said and informed that the transformer was installed from the Constituency Development Funds (CDF) of Ex-MLA of their area.
They appealed to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha to look into the issue and direct the concerned authorities to make the transformer functional.
