SAMBA, Mar 17: Congress working president Raman Bhalla today claimed that the INDIA alliance will win all the six Lok Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh in the general elections.
While addressing workers meeting in Ramgarh area, organized by former Minister and JKPCC vice president Yashpal Kundal today Bhalla said like Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC)-Kargil elections, INDIA alliance will sweet the Lok Sabha election in J&K and Ladakh. It will emerge victorious in these elections elsewhere in the country as well.
He said the Congress is ready for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, and it will contest the poll together with others in the INDIA alliance. He claimed that Congress will come back to power in J&K after emerging as single largest party and will form Government with likeminded secular parties. Cong is the only party which is fighting against dictatorship of Modi Government.
Bhalla said that people are fed up of anti- poor and anti- people policies of the ruling party whose diversionary and divisive politics is exposed before people. BJP has nothing to sell except indulge in religious politics, while people reel under unprecedented price rise and large scale unemployment. Urging party workers to gear up for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections and strengthen booth and village committees to defeat BJP which has polarized the society.
“Congress believes in Hindu- Muslim unity and religious brotherhood for peace and harmony in the country. Record unemployment in last 45 years, price rise, murder of democracy in J-K apart from snatching people’s rights to land and jobs, statehood, failure to regularize daily wagers and stopping of old age, widow pension and eviction of farmers from lands, crushing rights of employees are all anti- people and anti- democratic actions of BJP Government. Congress fought for freedom and democracy in the country while Modi Government is ruling the country with the help of ED, CBI, IT & other agencies and targeting opposition leaders to hijack democracy.
Bhalla said media is the watchdog of democracy and has a very important role to safeguard democracy. He claimed that Congress will bounce back on the J&K’s political scene and form next government in the Union Territory.
JKPCC vice president Yashpal Kundal, Incharge Samba district Rajnish Sharma Mian also spoke on the occasion.
