JAMMU, Apr 5: Inspector General of Police Jammu Zone, Rajesh Kumar, has stressed on people friendly attitude of Police Officers and their men while dealing with public and complainants.
He said this during an introductory meeting with all SHOs/IC PPs, SDPOs/Zonal SPs of Jammu District, on taking over his new assignment as IGP Jammu Zone at Zonal Police Headquarters, Jammu Zone, here today.
Shakeel Beigh, IPS, DIG Jammu and IC SSP Jammu Rajeshwar Singh also attended the meeting.
Kumar also called upon the Supervisory Officers to ensure that there was visible improvement in the conduct and behavior of officers and jawans especially at Police Stations, Police Posts and Nakas. He asked SHOs and IC PPs to be prompt, fair and transparent in their actions/dealing.
He laid emphasis on preventing Policing, updating the records of Police Stations especially with regard to criminals and their supporters and increasing vigil and surveillance over anti-national and anti-social elements.
While addressing officers it was stressed that the territorial officers should personally ensure effective presence and deployment of police at all places. While the officers and men on duty have to be courteous, absorb good conduct while on duty, they should be tough with the mischievous elements who create trouble. They were also asked to guard against the Anti-social and Anti-national elements. To keep a crime under check and redress the problems of the complainants within shortest possible time, he added.
He also listened to the suggestions and the various difficulties faced by the force personnel and assured that their problems will be solved.
