RAJOURI, Aug 28: The people from Taryath area of Kalakote have urged upon the State authorities to create separate Assembly constituency and also sanction Govt Degree College at Taryath.
The locals of the area in a meeting held under the chairmanship former Sarpanch Bodh Raj appreciated the abrogation of Article 370 and said that it was a bold initiative taken by the Modi Govt. The speakers in the meeting widely appreciated the step taken by the Union Government and hoped that J&K would witnessed massive development in coming days.
While speaking in the meeting, Bodh Raj urged upon the Governor’s administration to create separate Assembly constituency for Taryath as several Panchayats of Taryath area are either with Kalakote constituency or Sunderbani (Nowshera). Even some villages of Taryath area are lying under Khawas (Budhal-Darhal). This uneven distribution of Taryath tehsil has created problems for the people.
The Government has already decided to go for delimitation before elections in the State and it is prayed that this under developed area which always remained neglected would witnessed development only if separate constituency is created here. With nearly 30 Panchayats of Taryath area, a separate constituency can be created here. He also demanded sanctioning of Degree College at Taryath, having five feeding Higher Secondaries, which is the long pending demand of the area.
