SHOPIAN, Sept 6: Rising unemployment, economic distress, and unprecedented price rise are among several other issues which have pushed the people towards economic backwardness, leading to frustration and disappointment across the country.
Under such circumstances, people have raised their expectations from the Congress Party both in Centre and Jammu and Kashmir.
This was stated by Congress Working Committee Member Ghulam Ahmad Mir while interacting with party workers at Kandi Shadab in South Kashmir’s Shopian District.
A statement said that several party workers at Kandi Shadab accorded a rousing reception to Mir on his arrival and hailed his appointment as CWC Member.
At Kandi Shadab, GA Mir was apprised about the organizational activities and multiple issues confronting the public.
During his interaction with the workers, Mir suggested to rejuvenate different wings of the party at the grass root level.
He particularly laid focus on strengthening party at the booth level and encouraged the party workers to start preparations for upcoming ULB and Panchayat elections and other challenges especially Assembly and Parliamentary polls.
“People have strong urge for the Congress Party while having full faith and confidence in its pro-people policies and selfless services rendered towards public betterment,” he said.
He said INDI Alliance is strong enough to defeat NDA and owing to this frustration the latter has starting diverting the attention of the public from the real issues.
“But these tactics won’t work and NDA has to be ready for a humiliating defeat in the upcoming Assembly elections in different States and the Parliamentary elections,” Mir said.
