People in Pak want no boundaries, keen to visit India : Pak media

CHAMLIYAL (Jammu) : People in Pakistan wants no boundaries and are keen to visit India and meet their loved ones without any restrictions, said a seven-member delegation of Pakistan media.
The Pakistan media, which was covering the sharing of traditional ‘chadar’ by the Pakistan Rangers to the BSF officials and had visited here for the first time was not allowed to meet freely with their Indian counterparts.
The delegation expressed that people in neighbouring country are also keen to visit India and advocate free movement on either side of the border.
‘Everyone want peace and people in Pakistan are also keen to meet people on this side of the border,’ Bilal Khan, representing the delegation, who was standing on the other side of the barb wire expressed.
Mr Bilal said this is for the first time the Pakistan Government accepted their request of covering the event and ‘Inshalla’ next year, more media people will visit to this place.
‘We have similar languages and some of the traditions too, then why to have borders,’ another media person said.
He said people should be allowed to meet freely adding, ‘the more frequent people from both the sides will meet, more are the chances of bringing decades old hatred for each other to an end.’
However, the media from both the countries was not allowed to meet formally due to restrictions imposed at the venue. (AGENCIES)
