SAMBA, June 9: For the prevention of Coronavirus, the people housed in the quarantine centers in Samba district are facing health hazards due to the poor unhygienic conditions prevailing there and this way the administration was putting their lives to grave risk.
According to the report, the inmates in these quarantine centers used to sit on filth and dirt as no one in the administration bothers to clean them. The healthy persons even fear to get attacked by the virus in these quarantine centers. The worst situation is witnessed at the Lab Calculating centers built in the Cold Khu Radha Swami Ashram. There is no system at all, said the inmates quarantined there.
A couple from Punjab army area said that his 13-day-old daughter who was suffering with pain but no one in the administration listened to them, till 7pm in the evening.
A woman put in one of the quarantine centers alleged harassment from the officials. The women who had also a one year old daughter with her and demanded that she be put in home quarantine but no one agreed to her. She fares that she and her daughter may not get infected in the quarantine centre itself.
She said the hale and hearty people put in the quarantine centers in the district apprehend that they may get infected as the quarantine centers are not neat and clean.
