SAMBA, June 11: The people of Rajpora border area held a protest demonstration at Samba today against the failure of the authorities to resume the State Road Transport Corporation (SRTC) bus service in the border belt.
The protest was led by Lavelo Samyal, Sarpanch Keli Mandi, Samba. The protestors including men and women alleged that the people of the border belt are facing many problems due to lack of proper transport facilities and students as well as employees are worst sufferers.
They said that after suddenly stopping the SRTC bus service in the border belt the administration had given assurance of resuming same immediately but nothing was done in this regard till date forcing them to hold protest.
They warned to intensify the agitation in case the demand was not settled immediately. The protestors have also sought the intervention of DC Samba in the matter.
