‘Cong-NC alliance will get clear mandate’

JAMMU, Sept 29: Congress general secretary and former Union Minister Sachin Pilot today said that people of Jammu and Kashmir are fed up with the BJP and they now want a change in the Union Territory of J&K.
Addressing election rallies in Udhampur West in support of party candidate Sumit Magotra and at Kishanpur (Nagrota) in support of Balbir Singh, Sachin Pilot alleged that trends of first two phases indicate that Jammu and Kashmir is all set for a total change. The Congress and National Conference is heading towards majority.
Pilot said high turn out in first two phases also suggest that Alliance is going to form next Government with comfortable majority in J&K. He said Alliance (NC-Cong) will get clear mandate and nobody should have any doubt about it.
AICC leader said in Haryana also Congress is doing very well. “We are hopeful of getting highest number of seats this time in Haryana state which has 90 Assembly seats.”
Launching scathing attack on BJP. AICC general secretary said during last ten years BJP has brought miseries for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Youth are the worst victims. The unemployment has reached alarming high. The unemployment rate is highest in J&K at present. Over one lakh vacancies are lying vacant and BJP has failed to fill up these posts. They failed to give employment to the youth of J&K and now they are making tall claims of providing five lakh jobs.
He claimed that Congress will fill up these one lakh vacant posts and providing Statehood to J&K will be its top priority. He claimed that Congress has promised heath insurance worth Rs 25 lakh and Rs 3500 per month as financial assistance to the unemployed educated youth.
Pilot said the women Self Help Groups will be provided Rs 5 lakh interest free loans and head woman in the family (BPL) shall get Rs 5000 per month if the alliance Government comes to power. He said Agnipath Scheme of the BJP will also be scrapped if the Congress Government comes to power at the Centre.
Pilot said Rahul Gandhi as a leader will lead the country in future and the entire opposition will stand unitedly behind him when the next Lok Sabha elections happen.
“He is not just the LoP for the Congress but for the entire opposition. It is a constitutional position that comes with a lot of responsibility.
“In Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir, we will have a resounding victory and the next two states that follow — Maharashtra and Jharkhand — the INDIA bloc is very strongly placed,” he claimed.
