JAMMU, Apr 11: The six Panchayats in Mahore tehsil of district Reasi today warned to boycott the Parliament elections.
This was stated by Nazir Ahmed Badhrey, Sarpanch, Panchayat Halqa Badder in statement issued here today. He said the decision was taken by the inhabitants of  six Panchayats including  Badder, Larh, Arbais, Neoch, Dewal-A and Dewal-B as the successive Governments have failed to solve their demands.
Mr Badhrey said there is a lot of resentment among the people of these villages who still lack basic amenities like electricity and drinking water. The authorities have failed to lay electric poles while the condition of the roads is totally deplorable, he added.
He said that health care facilities are located several kilometers away from their Panchayat. They have demanded tehsil at Dewal.  He said that several people are still deprived of compensation from PWD Department whose land and houses were falling under road widening from Dhamni to Dewal.
The plea of the people regarding construction of roads has been rejected by the authorities of R&B on the pretext that the department has shortage of funds.
