People opposing Sami’s Indian citizenship have no problem flattering ex-Indians: Omar

SRINAGAR :  Reacting to criticism over Pakistani singer Adnan Sami getting an Indian citizenship, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah said people opposing it have no problem feting and flattering former Indians and have no problem with their patriotism.
“And yet we fete & flatter people formerly Indian & have no problem with their patriotism. Should same apply to them” Mr Abdullah, who is the working president of National Conference (NC), wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
Mr Abdullah was reacting to a tweet which read, Know what, I am not flattered Adnan Sami wraps himself in tricolour & says Jai Hind. Can 1 who dumps own motherland be an Indian patriot now.
Mr Sami, who is of Pakistani origin, was presented his certificate of naturalisation yesterday at the North Block. (UNI)
