RAJOURI, Aug 12: The people from Rajouri town today held protest demonstration against Municipal Committee and blocked road near Abdullah bridge for some time here today.
The residents from ward No. 8 and 9 of the town came out on the road and started staging protest against the unhygienic condition of the lanes and drains. They also protested against the dumping of garbage in the residential locality near the river and demanded that this practice be stopped.
The disrupted the movement of traffic on the road for over an hour. Later. ACR Rajouri Sachindev Singh and DSP Hq Mohd Rashid rushed to the spot and assured the people to take up the issue with MC authorities.
