NOWSHERA, June 22: The people from Taryath area today held protest against PHE authorities and blocked road for about an hour.
The villagers from two adjoining hamlets came out on Bharakh- Taryath-Kalakote road during morning and blocked road for about an hour. The villagers were shouting slogans against the PHE authorities for their failure to ensure adequate and regular supply of water. They alleged that water pumping station lies out of order and no alternate supply through tankers is ensured.
They urged upon the DC Rajouri and Chief Engineer PHE Jammu to intervene into the matter and ensure regular water supply during these hot summer days.
