Attack on Lady Sarpanch in Sunderbani

SUNDERBANI, July 31: A large number of BJP workers led by district president Bal Krishan Sharma and Satpanch Marchola Sukhdev Kour today held strong protest against police at Sunderbani and demanded arrest of all the accused involved in attack on Sarpanch Marchola on July 19.
The BJP delegation had gone to the Police Station Sunderbani today to meet SHO but he was not available. Then the BJP workers assembled out side the Police Station and started protest against SHO and Sunderbani Police for not taking action against the accused involved in the attack on Sarpanch Marchola Sukhdev Kour and her son and daughter even after 12 days of the incident. They also raised loud slogans against SHO demanding his removal.
They warned if the accused were not arrested within next 24 hours, the BJP workers and locals of the area will block Jammu-Poonch highway and SHO will be responsible for any inconvenience caused to the people.
It is pertinent to mention here that on July 19, as reported by the family some people of the area led by Noor Hussain and Abdul Ghani and six other persons attacked on BJP Sarpanch Sukhdev Kour, resident of Marchola and damaged her car. Her son and daughter were also injured. Then an FIR No. 68/2021 under sections 382,341,336,147,427,330,504 & 506 was lodged against Noor Hussain, Arfa Bibi, Arshad Ahmed, Sanjay Kumar, Munshi Ahmed, Noor Ahmed, Abdul Ghani, Azmet Bibi and others at Sunderbani Police Station but no any accused has been arrested by police so far.
Sarpanch Sukhdev Kour, Naib Sarpanch and district president of BJP Balkrishan Sharma, BJP Mandal president Sunderbani Rakesh Sharma, Capt Gurnam Singh, Capt Mehar Singh, Khadam Hussain, Mohammad Aslam, Mohammad Rashid, Mohammad Yousuf, Gulam Hussain, Liaqat Hussain, Jalal Din alleged that police was trying to shield the accused persons. They alleged that accused were openly threatening to villagers for supporting Sarpanch and police has turned mute spectator. They sought intervention of SSP Rajouri.
