UDHAMPUR, July 30: Up in arms against frequent and unscheduled power cuts, locals of Kashirah area under the leadership of Sarpanch Ram Paul held a strong protest demonstration before the office of Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur.
They raised slogans against PDD Department and demanded regular power supply.
Ram Paul lamented that despite regularly paying bills and e-metering of the area, the PDD authorities were enforcing frequent power cuts
The protesters warned vigorous protest and road blockage if uninterrupted power supply is not ensured.
Later they also submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner regarding the issue.
