RAJOURI, May 3: People of Rajouri town today staged a protest against district administration and municipal authorities as rain water entered into their houses and shops.
Due to torrential overnight rains, the drains overflowed in Rajouri town and dirty water of these drains entered into the houses and shops of the people and damaged their property.
In the morning, people expressed their anger by demonstrating against the district administration as well as the local municipal body. They raised slogans against the urban local body for pathetic condition of drains in the town.
They said lanes and drain need urgent repair in the entire town but only few of them have been repaired and many of them have not been paid attention neither by the city council nor the district administration.
“If all the drains would have been repaired, such situation would not have arisen,” they added and appealed the authorities to repair all the lanes and drains on priority.
