NOWSHERA, July 21: The people from Lam and adjoining villages in Nowshera Sub Division of district Rajouri, held protest demonstration against the PDD authorities for power failure and long unscheduled power curtailment.
Reports said the people of the area came out on the road at around 3.30 pm and started protest at Lam market . They were shouting slogans against PDD authorities Nowshera and Jammu for their failure to ensure adequate supply of electricity. They alleged that power supply position was grim in this entire border belt.
They pointed out that long unscheduled power cuts are the order of the day and low voltage has further added to the woes of the people. The old existing power supply system has not been improved since long. After protesting for about an hour, the villagers dispersed.
