MENDHAR, June 1: The people from Harni and adjoining areas today held strong protest demonstration against PHE authorities and blocked road for about two hours.
A large number of people including women came out on the road and started protest demonstration. They were shouting slogans against PHE authorities for poor supply of water, leakage in water pipes. They pointed out that this problems is going on for the last about one month but the concerned staff is least bothered about the matter. Moreover, water sources have also dried up in summers. The movement of vehicles remained disrupted for about two hours.
Later, Naib Tehsildar Harni arrived there on the spot and tried to pacify the people. With the intervention of SDPO, Mendhar, Riaz Tantary the dharna was lifted.
