KATHUA, June 24: The Chadwal people held a protest demonstration at Jammu-Pathankot National Highway today against the power failure in the area caused due to breakdown of local transformer.
The protestors raising slogans against the PDD accused it of its total failure in restoring the transformer which has developed a snag five days back. Though the authorities replaced the transformer by new one at 4 pm after five days it worked from one hour only and later broke down. This evoked a strong protest from local residents who came on National Highway and protested. However the traffic was not disrupted by the mob and it plied as per routine.
