UDHAMPUR, June 19: Up in arms against decision of the District Hospital Udhampur administration shifting to online registration for the OPD and prescription slip, locals held a strong protest in the hospital premises, here today.
Led by senior Congress leader Sumeet Magotra, the protesting people raised slogans against the hospital administration and staged a dharna. They were demanding both online and offline registration facility for OPD.
While addressing the gathering, Sumeet Magotra said alleged the Government was taking such immature decision while sitting inside the AC rooms without knowing ground realities. He said that eighty percent patients are from rural areas and majority people have no Android Phone to get them registered online. He asked the hospital authorities to start both online and offline registration facility for OPD service.
Later, the protest was suspended after Hospital Administration started offline registration also.
