UDHAMPUR, Feb 14: Up in arms against unscheduled power cuts in the area, people of Round Domail held a strong protest demonstration and blocked the ever busy Dhar road for around three hours, here today.
Led by Sarpanch of the Round Panchayat, Rameshwar Sharma, the protesting people raised slogans against the PDD authorities. They also threatened to gherao the authorities if regular power supply is not made.
Irregular power supply and heavy curtailment has been causing great inconvenience to the people, particular students, who are unable to prepare for their studies, he alleged.
Later Xen PDD and Naib Tehsildar personally reached the spot and assured to look into their grievance following which the protest was suspended.
