People protest at Koota, torch effigy of CM, DyCM

JAMMU, Mar 22: The Hindu Ekta Manch (HEM) took out procession reiterating their demand for CBI inquiry in Asifa murder case. The members of Hindu Ekta Manch held a protest demonstration at Koota Morh on National Highway against the State Government. The  agitated people also torched the effigy of Chief Minister and Dy CM and raised anti Government slogans.
The protesting activists were led by Kant Kumar, Vijay Tagotra, Bharat Bhushan, Yogesh Kumar, Shamsher Singh, They widely condemned the attitude of Government to ignore the demands of  people of Hiranagar tehsil of CBI inquiry in Asifa murder case as Crime Branch was harassing the innocent people of the area.
They alleged that the Crime Branch is working under the pressure of CM  and targeting the innocent people including old age persons and students studying out of State . They said “our motive is not to shield the criminal but we want to secure innocent people may not be harassed on the name of investigation and real culprits should be put behind the bars”.
To avert any untoward incident adequate number of police was deployed Koota area.
