RAJOURI, Apr 4: The people from Manjakot and adjoining areas held protest demonstration against the CAPD authorities for not providing ration to the public and preparing wrong data for implementing NFSA in the district.
A large number of people including several Panchayat members came out on the road and held demonstration against the District Administration and also CAPD authorities. They alleged that corrections despite tall claims of the CAPD director and DC Rajouri have not been made in the lists prepared for NFSA. There is no ration supply at all for the last three months. Public is badly suffering and the CAPD authorities are least bothered. The people have been forced to come out on the roads and added that no concerned CAPD and Revenue officials attend offices at Manjakot to ensure this exercise.
Later, with the intervention of SHO, the people suspended agitation. They also burnt the effigy of Tehsildar Manjakot, disrupting movement of the vehicles on Rajouri-Poonch road for some time.
