MENDHAR, May 26: The people of Sagra area today blocked the road at Mankote and held strong protest against PDD and PHE authorities.
A large number of villagers from Sagra area today came out on the road at Mankote and raised barricades. They sat on dharna and started protest demonstration against PDD and PHE authorities for acute shortage of water and electricity supply.
The villagers alleged that during these hot summer days, the water supply remains disrupted for days together while long power curtailments have made life of the people miserable. They raised loud slogans against Mendhar Administration and senior officers of PHE and PDD.
Later, on the directions of SDM Mendhar, Tehsildar Mankote reached the spot and pacified the people. On his assurance then dharna was lifted after two hours.
