MENDHAR, Nov 17: The people from several villages in Mendhar area today held protest demonstration against the RDD and PHE authorities.
The people under the banner of Kissan Mazdoor Union assembled outside the office of Tehsildar Mendhar and started protest demonstration in the morning. They were demanding release of pending wages of the MG-NREGA workers for the last three years and restoration of water supply to Chhunga Nama, Bera, Nodol and Ari villages. They alleged that due to failure of pumping stations at these villages, the water supply has been badly hit. They also demanded immediate release of pending wages of the workers under NREGA. Later, they submitted a memorandum to Tehsildar Mendhar demanding restoration of water supply.
