UDHAMPUR, Oct 29: The locals of Jakhani area today blocked road and held strong demonstration and protest against the massive traffic jams in and around Udhampur City and Jakhani National Highway area.
Alleging total traffic mis-management, the protesting people were shouting slogans against the IG Traffic, SSP Traffic National Highway and local administration. They alleged that traffic mis-management has now become routine on all the roads and National Highway in and round Udhampur. No body takes much pain while the public has been left to suffer. The Traffic officials deployed in the area have totally failed to regulate the traffic as they remain busy in `other work of their interest’.

It takes each vehicle more than three hours just to cross one kilometer stretch passing through the city.
