SAMBA Dec 5: The public of Thalodi Brahmana, Camp, Amowal, Simbalwai, Budhwal,Gurha Salathian, Uttervehni, Moutlian,Om Colony, Thalori Gujjran, Sangwal and Vijaypur staged a protest near the Railway crossing C-51 Vijapur and raised slogans against the Railway Minister and demanded that a Fly Over at Gate No C-51 Vijaypur be immediately constructed so that the sufferings of the public are mitigated.
Rajesh Padgotra provincial president of JKNPP along with Sarpanch Bagla Rahya, Khajur Singh highlighted the problems of the public while addressingthe protesters. Padgotra said that about 60,000 people of the area have been facing problems as they have to cross the gates near about 20 hours a day. The students cannot reach their institutions in time so the employees. The patients cannot reach the hospital for treatment and most of the patients who become victims of accidents, snake bites and the ladies in delivery cases succumb before they reach the Hospital due to prolonged and repeated closure of the Gate at C-51 Vijaypur Railway Station. Padgotra appealed the Ministry for Railway to under take the construction work at the crossing to facilitate the public otherwise they will be forced to launch a massive agitation.
Among others who attend the protest included Mani Ram Bhagat, Amrik Singh, Rakesh verma, Rashpal Choudhary, Faqir Chand, Darshan Sharma, Ravi Attri, Nand Lal Bhagat, Ram Pal, Girdhari Lal,Kaka Ram, Hem Raj,Vijay Kumar, Dev Raj, Gara Bhagat, Harbans Lal Choudhary, Ashok Verma, Yash Pal Gurdass Chand, Rattan lal, Narsingh Dass etc.
