People suffered due to misrule of BJP-PDP: Balbir

KATHUA, Aug 1:  Senior Congress leader and Member Legislative Council, Thakur Balbir Singh has alleged that  people of Jammu region have suffered due to misrule of  BJP-PDP regime in the State.
Addressing public meeting at Mahanpur in district Kathua today, Balbir Singh criticised the BJP leadership from Jammu for ignoring the aspirations of Jammu. He alleged that  from recruitment to development and also the share in  tourism promotion, the Jammu region has been totally ignored during past three years.  The Jammu region has witnessed a worst era ever in the history as  BJP leadership only played with the sentiments of the people here despite the fact they Jammu people provided this party a huge mandate after first time during past six decades.
The Congress leader alleged that as per the development in Billawar and Basohli is concerned, the area is   suffering badly. The people have been deprived of the drinking water and adequate ration supply. The people are suffering due to log power cuts while condition of the roads is pitiable.  The health care facilities are also inadequate and health  institutions are under staff.  He said entire Kandi belt of Kathua is facing water crisis even during these rainy days.
The MLC said that with the coming of Governor’s Administration the hopes of people have increased.  The three -member team of Governor N N Vohra is doing commendable job. He urged upon the  new Administration to mitigate the sufferings of the people.  The Congress leader also demanded that Advisors should hold public Darbar in Kathua, Billawar and Basohli area also to address the public grievances on the spot.
