JAMMU, Aug 1: The credibility of the PDP-BJP Coalition Government in Jammu and Kashmir is at its lowest due to failure on all fronts, former Minister and JKPCC vice president Raman Bhalla said today while addressing a public meeting at Digiana in Gandhi Nagar constituency and participating in protests at Satwari, Karan Bagh Chowk and Gandhi Nagar.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion include Charanjeet Chib, Om Ji Kala, Master Subash, Ashok Chalotra, Vijay Kumar Kungar, Janak Raj Kuka. Speaking on the occasion, Bhalla said that both the coalition partners speak in different tones on many important issues. He said Govt instead of working seriously for the people’s cause, has pushed them to the wall through its insensitiveness, callous attitude and misgovernance over the last one year.
Bhalla while announcing to continue the protest against the statement of CM, said that there seems a race between BJP and PDP to prove who among them is more loyal and concerned for separatists and anti-national dispensations. The developments in the State have cleared that the present Government is security risk and better it goes without wasting even a moment. Claiming that the Mehbooba Mufti-led Government has failed in all fronts including security and power sectors, he said that its “casual attitude” is responsible for such a situation.
Bhalla expressed shock over Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh’s remark that the killing of Burhan Wani was an “accident”, stating that the remark was an insult to the security forces who died fighting against the terrorist. It is shocking that the Deputy Chief Minister of a State where security forces are laying down their lives, has said it.
The demand of transfer of PM package employees to Jammu till return of complete normalcy in Valley speaks about the situation prevailing there.
Accusing the Govt of ignoring the issues of Jammu region, Bhalla said that the in absence of Special Secretariat in Jammu, people are suffering as they have to now rush to Srinagar for pursuing their each and every Secretariat related work.
Commenting on the situation in Valley, Bhalla said everywhere a sense of fear and threat prevails upon most of the population which is reminiscent of the old times. The effort and resources that so meticulously were put to use during Congress led Government in ensuring peace and brotherhood in the State is fast disappearing ever since BJP-PDP coalition took over, he added.
