Percutaneous Endo-Fusion New Hope For Spine Patients: Dr Trivedi

JAMMU | Spine problems are increasing in whole world, Backache became third most common cause for patients to visit Hospitals. Same time technological advancement in spine surgery are also increasing very fast and making spine surgery as a day care procedure.
Percutaneous Endo-fusion is blessing for geriatric population and specially with high BMI patients, as it is done through Percutaneous route with very small cut and incision only between 7mm to 10mm cuts. Surinder Gupta 42y/M Resident of Birpur, Jammu was suffering with backache from last one year with difficulty in prolong sitting, initially Surinder took local treatment from city and adviced with a Open Spine Surgery. But due to fear with Open Spine Surgery he refused for surgical intervention.
Later on he took opinion from Dr. Trivedi, (Senior Endoscopic Brain & Spine Surgeon) at Spine Masters Unit Jalandhar, Dr. Trivedi after seeing his radiological reports adviced him Endo-Fusion, which is a Percutaneous procedure with very small incision around 7-10mm and whole procedure done in just 1hour and within next 4 hours Surinder was walking well and on 3rd day he was discharged from hospital.
Dr. Trivedi told that Surinder was suffering with Spondylolisthesis, previously these surgery were done with open or as Microscopic procedure, but with Endo-fusion, where time of surgery is around 1hour only and within couple of days patients is back to normal life, Endo-fusion is a blessing with old patients with high BMI where other surgeries are difficult to operate.
