JAMMU, Aug 21: The members of the J&K High Court Personal Staff Association have decided to proceed on mass causal leave on August 28 if their demands were not conceded by then.
The decision was taken in the general house meeting of the Association held here today. It was unanimously decided that High Court authorities should be given one week’s time for framing rules pertaining to the different categories of the staff of the High Court by considering the matter in the light of SRO 386 of 2008 issued by the State under which benefit of higher pay scales has been extended to those working in the different departments of the State Govt, benefit of career progression scheme as available to the Judicial Officers of the State, two and a half day salary in favour of Jamadars/ Drivers attached with Judges of the High Court.
The Association has requested the Chief Justice to personally intervene into the matter and consider the genuine demands.
