RAJOURI, June 2: The police arrested two persons for looting Rs 1.61 lakh cash from a Petrol pump in Bakori area on Bhudhal road this afternoon.
The robbers have been identified as Mohammad Farooq from Kakora in Manjakote and Ajay Kumar from Akhnoor. Third accused namely Mohammad Ashraf hailing from Kakora in Manjakote managed to escape. These youth came to the petrol pump in an Alto car No. JK02AR/2812 at around 2.30 pm. They asked attendant to fill petrol from Shafi Filling Station. Two of them went inside the office and looted cash at weapon point while one remained in the car waiting at driver’s seat. Then all of them escaped.
The staff informed police and they alerted all nakas. After the tyre of the car brust, they left the car on way near Mandir Galla and took lift in a Tempo Trax. But at a police naka when they tried to escape. Two of them were nabbed while third escaped. The police recovered Rs 21,000 cash and four mobiles while other cash was lying with Ashraf who slipped away. The police was looking for him.
