AKHNOOR, May 27: An Awareness and Outreach programme under ‘Nidhi Apke Nikat (NAN) 2.0′ organized by EPFO was held here today.
The programme was held in the presence of Rizwan Uddin, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-I, along with Devinder Singh, Enforcement Officer.
At the outset, Regional PF Commissioner Rizwan Uddin highlighted the importance of enrolling Employees Provident Fund (EPF) to extend the benefits of three social security schemes run by EPFO under various schemes included Employers Provident Fund scheme 1952 (EPF), the Employees Pension Scheme 1995 (EPS) and the Employees Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme (EDLI).
He spoke at length about the scheme framed under EPF and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 and facilitation of compliance under the said act and also shared about the modalities of employees’ and employer’s contribution regarding the same scheme.
Rizwan Uddin also briefed the participants about inclusive, cohesive and coherent outreach for participatory awareness for on-the-spot grievances redressal for members or employees and pensioners along with information exchange with various stakeholders.
The Commissioner stressed on the benefits of scheme for the employers and employees like filing of ECR returns, online claims including transfer claims, Updation of bank KYC, Joint declaration form, hand-holding support for DSC/E-sign registration etc. in respect of all eligible members including outsourced employees timely and appropriately. The allied benefits linked with this scheme were also discussed.
Such a programme has been also organised at EPFO Office, Ladakh by Sandeep Kumar, SS, where representatives of establishments and employees were present in the program.
Among others who graced the event included the Commanding Officer, SO to Chairman, Principal and staff of APS Rakhmuthi, Staff of neighboring schools like IDPS Akhnoor, Kids Planet, RMG International School, JSK High School Pallanwala, JSK Higher Secondary School Jourian, Faiz Public School Gurha Brahmana , Employees of Jamkash Vehicleades and the local Contractors engaged in command area.
