PF Commissioners listens grievances in Kathua

JAMMU, Oct 28: ESIC Jammu in collaboration with EPFO organized Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0, an awareness and joint outreach program( Suvidha Samagam for ESIC) and Regional Director I/C DTNBWED at SICOP IID Centre Conference Hall Kathua today. Employers and employees of the areas were sensitized about provisions of social security, besides covering themes of “Filing Grievance” – how to file grievance on EPFiGMS, other grievance filing provisions e.g. CPGRAMS, other portals; education on Digital Service and rights of employees in respect of employers.
The aim of the program is to ensure broad based participation, awareness, and grievance redressal and information exchange network closer to the stakeholders of ESIC and EPFO.
Regional P F Commissioner, Rizwan Uddin, RPFC-I, RO Jammu and Ajeet Kumar Singh, Assistant Director ESIC, RO Jammu informed that subscribers, pensioners, establishments, employees’ representatives, and industrial chambers are advised to actively participate in Nidhi Aapke Nikat Program (Suvidha Samagam for ESIC).
The employer representative including Vice President of Kathua Industry Association Vinay Mahajan, Parveen Tayagi CTM Kathua, Danish Sharma from Charipal Poly films, Satish Sharma Nicer Paper Mills and Abhinesh Kumar from IEC Electric Power ltd raised issue of how to exit old employees and Raghav Mahajan from Chhinnmastika Track Industries were advised to raise membership.
It has been felt that employers in Kathua have to come forward to enroll all eligible employees. One of the representatives of Establishment (M/s Ratan Oil Mills) had some misconception about employees enraged through contractors (workers migrated from other States). P F Commissioner emphasized that eligible employees must be enrolled.
Services and benefits of “Social Security”–Employees’ Pension Scheme, 1995 and enhanced quantum (up to Rupees Seven Lakhs) of Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance Schemes, 1976 are being rendered to employees of Union territory of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh with effect from November 2019 onwards.
