PFHV holds protest demonstration

Activists of People Forum for Human values raising slogans against District administration, Samba at DC office complex during dharna on Monday.

SAMBA, Sept 10: People Forum for Human Values (PFHV) held a dharna-cum protest demonstration at DC office complex to press for their demands.
Leading the protest, Forum patron, Raj Kumar Badyal and president, Karan Singh demanded to install 10 MVA transformers in place of 5MVA transformers at Power House, Samba, to reduce the electricity problem.
Karan Singh, while addressing the protestors, pressed for the establishment of an auditorium or conference hall within the limits of Municipal Committee.
Protestors, raising slogans against District Administration, alleged that the police authority of the district is not concerned about the drug menace prevalent in the district and the drug peddlers are active and playing with the lives of the youth. They demanded to curb this menace.
They also urged the authorities to impose ban on mining of sand and bajri from Basanter river and other streams of district.
MLA Samba, Yash Pal Kundal was also present on the occasion.
