JAMMU, May 2: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) today restored Rajouri-Draba Transmission Line of Power Development Department which was damaged early this year due to massive snowfall.
In order to restore the 132 KV transmission line, which snapped power supply to Poonch district, the services of PGCIL were sought and today at around 6.15 pm Rajouri-Draba line was restored and charged by the Power Grid Corporation.
The PGCIL, which has accomplished the task due to its technical expertise, dedication and in-depth planning of the project, is also targeting to complete the restoration of 132 KV Draba-Chandak transmission line as well. The restoration work of HT/LT has been assigned to the M&RE Wing of the PDD.
From the Power Development Department side, Ajay Gupta, Chief Engineer (S&O) and Sudhir Gupta, Superintending Engineer extended coordination in the restoration work, which was carried out under the supervision of K R Suri, General Manager (O&M).
J P Singh, Executive Director PGCIL Northern Region-II has lauded the team for this gigantic task.
