Pharmacist Association discusses demands

UDHAMPUR, June 4: A meeting of J&K Pharmacist Association was held in premises of District Hospital, Udhampur under the chairmanship of J D Sharma, district president, today.
The meeting discussed various burning issues of the pharmacists which have been taken up many times with the higher authorities for consideration but have not yet been considered.
The issues are removal of stagnation in DPC, implementation of Government Order No 182 HME of 2002, creation of posts of ECG Tech, Theatre Assistants, Anesthesia Assistants, in district hospital, Sub District Hospitals and CHCs out of which 50% posts should be filled by posting those pharmacists who are already serving against those posts purely on seniority basis, complete implementation of SRO 48 of 1998 and registration of pharmacists with the Pharmacy Council of India.
After discussion it was decided to launch one-day dharna in the office complex of Chief Medical Officer, Udhampur and a memorandum regarding the burning demands of the Pharmacists to be submitted to CMO, Udhampur.
Those present in the meeting were Narinder Sharma, Ashwani Khajuria, Sushil Sharma, Pushpinder Sharma, Kranti Gupta, Suresh Gupta, Puneet Mahajan, Darshan Kumar, Dev Raj and Rajinder Singh.
