Jammu, Mar 4: The J&K Chapter, PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry today held an interaction with Shantmanu, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr.Shantmanu, stated that Government would take issues pertaining to Tourism of the Division on priority basis for development of infrastructure and removal of bottlenecks. He also stated that he would fix-up for a joint visit with PHD Chamber and JDA to Transport Nagar. He further stated that all clearances for expansion of Jammu Airport have been received, however for completion of Ist phase, it would take one year’s time. He assured to have joint meeting with PHD Chamber prior to finalization of Jammu Master Plan.
Vikrant Kuthiala, Chairman, J&K State Committee, PHD Chamber stressed for overall improvement of Roads, expeditious completion of Southern Bye-pass, completion of Road from Belicharana to Satwari, proposed Bye-pass road from the canal side to Nagbani, Double laning of Akhnoor Road, Fly over from Canal Head to Jewel Chowk, installation of Traffic Lights in Nanak Nagar, Doodhadhari Chowk, creation of car parking space in Jammu city, extension of Jammu Airport, development of alternate Tourist Circuits, Veer Bhadreshwar, Budha Amarnath, Mangla Mata, Chingus Fort, Mughal Road circuit, Suaransar, Mansar.
The chairman further stressed for Tourism related Festivals held in Jammu be advertised and promoted outside the State, as also tour travel and Hotel associations alongwith regional Tourism Director take part in National/International Trade Fairs. The chamber also stressed upon development of Gharana Wet Land, restoration of Helicopter tickets to Travel agents at Mata Vaishnodevi, cleaning of Ranbir Canal, early completion of Jammu Airport expansion, amongst other issues.
The meeting was conducted by Rajender Motial and vote of thanks was proposed by Rajesh Gupta.
