JAMMU, June 29: A PHDCCI Jammu Chapter delegation led by its Chairman Rahul Sahai along with his associates Samar Dev Charak and Amarpreet Singh called on Namrita Dogra, Additional Commissioner, State Taxes, Jammu in her office and discussed burning issues of the traders.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the forthcoming programme on GST Week. State Taxes Department of Government of J&K is celebrating GST Week from July Ist to 7. State Taxes Department has invited PHDCCI Jammu Chapter to be part of the GST Week. Namrita shared the details about the events they have planned for the whole week.
On day one July Ist, 2023, a panel discussion is planned, for which Rahul Sahai has been invited as a panalist. During the meeting Sahai shared several points related to GST which could be taken up during the panel discussion. He also suggested that trader community is not aware about the GST rules and there is need to create awareness among them.
Samar Dev Charak, Co-Chair said that there is need to train the users of the online system of the department. He said we should create flyers related to the points that need to be shared with the trading & Industrial community, like all dealers should submit their own mobile number on the online GST portal , details of how to change and update the mobile number in the system and other important points.
Namrita Dogra appreciated the suggestions given by Rahul Sahai and other members and said that all steps will be taken to create awareness and requested support and cooperation of PHDCCI Jammu to make GST Week successful.
