JAMMU, Dec 23: A delegation of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), Jammu region chapter, led by its chair Rakesh Wazir, met Sunit Kumar, General Manager (GM) Credit & Business Operations, J&K Bank, Jammu division.
The meeting, aimed at strengthening the industrial sector in Jammu & Kashmir, included discussions on liberal financing and innovative strategies to foster industrial growth and employment in the Union Territory.
The delegation, comprising executive committee members Sahil Aggarwal, Shashi Thakur, and Deputy Resident Director Kartik Singh, was joined by Bank officials including Zonal Head Vinay Gupta and Cluster Head Raman Sood.
Rakesh Wazir highlighted the significant role of J&K Bank in rural areas, emphasizing its unmatched presence and contributions to the region’s economy. He urged the bank to maintain its legacy by offering competitive interest rates on loans, reduced commission charges on EFTPOS machines, and tailored financial schemes to address entrepreneurs’ specific needs.
Sunit Kumar assured the delegation that the Bank remains committed to supporting industrial development in the Union Territory. He emphasized the Bank’s focus on liberal financing, technological advancements, and the introduction of customized schemes based on entrepreneurs’ suggestions. Kumar also assured that directions would be issued to further streamline financing processes and expedite service delivery.
The meeting reinforced J&K Bank’s role as a pivotal institution in fostering industrial growth and creating employment opportunities across the region.
