JAMMU, May 1: A delegation of PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PHDCCI) Jammu Region Chapter led by its Chairman, Vikrant Kuthiala met Dr. Pravat Ranjan Beuria, Airport Director and submitted a memorandum containing demands.
Kuthiala apprised Director of the concern being faced by the civil society at large and discussed the issues of extension of runway at Jammu Airport, concrete wall on sides of runway, up-gradation of ILS system at Jammu Airport, creation of visitors car parking/pick-up and drop off and creation of 3rd frisking point.
Early commencement of evening flights to and from Jammu Airport was also demanded.
The Airport Director along with his entire team assured that the infrastructural development issues shall be addressed and resolved by April 2020.
On issues like 3rd frisking point to address the concern of long queue he said that it shall be addressed immediately.
PHDCCI suggested that such interactions should take place regularly so that the issues can be brought to light and addressed.
Kuldeep Gupta, Co-Chair PHDCCI and Sanjay Gupta were also present in the delegation.
