PHDCCI delegation meets JMC Commissioner

JAMMU, July 12: A delegation of PHDCCI led by its Co-Chairman, Kuldeep Gupta here today met Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Commissioner, Pankaj Magotra and raised certain demands including rationalization of Jammu Master Plan.
The delegation said that all stakeholders should be given opportunity to highlight their reservations for suitable amendments in the Master Plan.
About ongoing work on Jammu-Akhnoor road project, the delegation said, the developer has raised the level of the construction site higher than the road which leads to water logging and damage to the road.
“The developer should develop and maintain the road in all time motorable condition,” the delegation members said adding that demanding drainage and sewerage along this project.
A walkway from canal head to Toph Bridge on left bank of canal was also demanded.
PHDCCI further demanded that a world class green park should also be developed at Bhagwati Nagar with facilities like children playing park, water bodies with musical fountains etc.
Development of Jammu Haat on the lines of Delhi Haat was among other demands.
Early full commissioning of Bhagwati Nagar Sewerage Treatment Plant was also demanded by the delegation.
Still more demands raised by the delegation included street lights and dust bins at proper places, mechanized road sweepers and conversion of vacant land the along banks of River Tawi near 4th bridge into playground.
After listening to the delegation Magotra assured to look into all the issues raised by PHDCCI.
