JAMMU, July 27: EPFO in association with PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PHDCCI) Jammu and Dogra Law College, organized an interactive session & awareness program on EPFO services and EPF & MP Act.
Rizwan Uddin, PF Commissioner, J&K and Ladakh was the chief guest on the occasion while Rahul Sahai, Chair PHDCCI Jammu was the guest of honor of the session.
While addressing, Rizwan briefed the participants about the schemes of EPFO. He shared details about the benefits of Employees Provident Fund (EPF).
The PF Commissioner answered several questions raised by the participants. He also discussed various concerns of the participants and on spot directed his office to get them solved. Rizwan said that we should create more awareness about EPF among the masses which will help them in future if any misfortune event happens . He said that his office is always open for any kind of grievances to be resolved.
Rahul Sahai, in his address, said that the event reflects commitment of PHDCCI in promoting Indian industry, trade, and entrepreneurship. He said that EPF is not merely a tax-saving instrument; it is a valuable benefit scheme for salaried individuals, assuring security and stability for both the employee and their family in their golden years. He shared about the benefits of EPF like Financial Security, Long-Term Savings, Tax Benefits, Withdrawal Options, Interest Earnings, Social Security, etc.
For Employers benefit, he said that it helps employer in various ways like Employee Attraction and Retention, Tax Savings, Motivating Workforce, Contributing to Employee Welfare, Reduced Payroll Burden, Compliance with Labour Laws, Positive Corporate Image. Bipin Kumar, District Nodal Officer, EPFO Jammu, gave a detailed Presentation on EPFO Services and Schemes.

The session was moderated by Parema Bakshi, Lecturer, Dogra Law College; Dr Darshana Sharma, Director Dogra Group of Colleges; Dr Avdhesh Pratap, Principal, Dogra Law College and Amarpreet Singh, Resident Officer PHDCCI Jammu were also present in the Session, which was attended by representatives of various industrial units, law students and faculty of Dogra Law College.
