KISHTWAR, May 2: Despite repeated requests, the PHE Department authorities are ignoring the miseries of consumers.
As per reports, a distribution pipe line was laid by PHE Department from Dak Bunglow junction point to TRC Kishtwar for supplying drinking water to more than a dozen households.
The said pipeline has failed to supply drinking water to the consumers on regular basis as some new illegal connections have taped into it, the residents said, adding that the said line is damaged at various points and the drinking water instead of reaching the households remains flowing on the road.
As per residents, the PHE Department is busy in obliging VIPs and is providing drinking water to their localities twice a day. Even there are some VIP families for whom special tanker facility has been made available.
The residents alleged that the department has failed to provide drinking water in the most of the areas.
They warned to come out on roads, if their issue is not redressed in the shortest possible time.
