PHE Drivers, Cleaners Union discusses demands

JAMMU, Oct 29: A meeting of executive members of PHE Drivers, Cleaners Union, Jammu Province was held here today under the leadership of union chairman, KC Dubey to discuss burning issues and demands of the driver and cleaners working in the department.
During the meeting, general secretary of the union, Davinder Singh criticized the State Government for not framing any regularization policy for poor and innocent daily rated, need based and CP workers of the department.
Alleging that these workers are compelled to live in worst condition and performing their duties without wages for months together, he further criticized the State Government for adopting criminal silence over the matter.
While addressing the executive members, president of the union, Mohan Singh Charak, pointed out that the State Government has miserably failed to release 17% DA to the State Government employees even after the lapse of 10 months, due to which lower cadre employees are facing difficulties to make their both ends meet.
The meeting appealed all the political parties to include the burning issues and genuine demands of the employees in their election manifesto and commit honestly to resolve the issues on priority.
Among others, Naresh Kumar, Inderjit Singh, TR Bawa, TR Sharma, Joginder Singh and Bishan Dass were also present.
