JAMMU, Sept 20: PHE Department Drivers and Cleaners Union has supported the cause of agitating daily wagers, ITI trained and CP workers.
In a meeting of the executive members of the Union held under the chairmanship of Kartar Chand Dubey here today, the members disused the issue related to the demands of the agitating CP/ ITI workers and other daily wagers of the department. They criticized the Government for not framing clear policy for regularization and depriving workers of their hard earned wages. They alleged that many workers have not been paid for the months together and their families have been put to face starvation. They strongly supported their cause and urged upon the Minister for PHE, I&FC to address their issues.
Prominent among those who attended meeting included Devinder Singh, Mohan Singh, Kulwant Singh, Swarn singh, Naresh Kumar, T R Bawa and Inderjeet Singh.
