SRINAGAR, Oct 4 : Nearly a hundred employees of the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department today staged a protest demonstration here seeking the release of pending wages and implementation of SR0-520 at the earliest.
Scores of employees under the banner of All J&K PHE, ITI Workers Association this morning converged at Pratap Park, Lal Chowk here and staged the anti-government demonstration.
The protesting employees were demanding regularisation of their services under SRO-520 besides the release of the long-pending wages.
“The Government has withheld our salaries; SRO-520 is not being implemented. Divide and rule policy is being used to create differences between the employees,” the protesters said.
The protesters alleged that the successive regimes only made false promises to them and used them for political gains. “No Government has taken our demands seriously. We have been left in the lurch,” they added.
